One of Aqualia's main objectives is to ensure that citizens perceive us as a company that adds value to their town or city or country. For this purpose, we are creating new ways of communicating: one to one and underlining the importance of our activities and guaranteeing comprehensive water cycle management that is efficient and sustainable financially and socially. At Aqualia, we care about getting to know our clients in each region and we establish relationships with citizens as a guarantee for the future.
Transparent communication with citizens
European Directive 2020/2184 on the quality of water intended for human consumption addresses the issue of leaks in water distribution networks and establishes a three-year deadline for their assessment. Its transposition into Spanish law through Royal Decrees 3/2023 and 665/2023 set out the control mechanisms, reporting requirements, and performance indicators to be monitored and improved, as well as the obligation to provide municipalities with systems to track, monitor, and optimize this management.
In 2024, we redesigned the Citizen Information Portals together with the municipalities in the areas where we operate, enabling users to access transparent, high-quality information about the service.
Aqualia Contact: 20 años de atención al cliente
En 2024 Aqualia Contact, nuestro centro de atención telefónica al cliente cumplió 20 años en España. En estas dos décadas se han recibido cerca de 17 millones de llamadas y en la actualidad atiende ya a tres millones de clientes de 430 municipios españoles.
